Hi, Prof. I'm interested to know why you chose this town? Also, why did Popes called Pius have such an interest in excavating it? Fox

Fox- I basically chose this town because I myself have visited it, and I found it very interesting to see first-hand the ruins of what is essentially an entire Roman town. I don't know why the pope's were so interested- perhaps something to do with the history of the once great Roman empire? I'll have to do some more research Professor Schomer 16:27, 23 May 2007 (BST)
