Overview:
This is the third of a series of four planned events where SParkers get a chance to share their views, knowledge and experience of managing their work in Schome Park. By the end of the four events, the goal will be to develop an information management skills toolkit using the wiki, and other tools, which will be available for all SParkers to use and to build on to support their projects and activities.

Session Three: Methods and techniques: Participatory Action Research

Overview: This session will discuss how useful it is to adopt a particular way of undertaking an investigation for a project or activity . Participants will be encouraged to read up on some of the articles which will be made available via the wiki prior to the live session and reflect on the practicalities, benefits and drawbacks of using various methods and approaches when undertaking their own activities in Schome.


  • Session One, Tuesday 5th February 2008: How do SParkers currently organise and manage their activities in Schome Park?
  • Session Two, 19th February 2008: Using interviews for information gathering and scoping further work
  • Session Four, Tuesday 18th March 2008: Defining and building the Information Management Skills Toolkit
