Closure of Teen Second Life
« on: August 20, 2010, 09:56:38 AM »
In case anyone's not heard: This week Linden Lab announced that Teen Second Life is to be closed.

16- and 17-year-olds will be allowed into the main grid, but the plans for younger users seem very vague. (The email I got referred to "creating adequate solutions to serve the younger demographic as well.")

I believe that locked areas on the Main Grid will be available for anyone aged 13 or over - identical in operation to how Schome Park worked in the Teen Grid I assume - ie closed island with 13-17 year olds unable to go anywhere else and 18+ needing CRB check and to be given access by owner of island. Unclear as of yet whether 18+ will be locked into the closed island or able to move between it and the rest of the Main Grid - anyone know?
