Yes. we would be working on the schome project during school.

Our class is first thing in the morning, Wednesday and Friday, 8:00 to 9:25 AM (not counting the first 20 min. minimum in which Mrs. Becker talks about stuff). Thats when we'd be schome-ing it up. Maybe a little bit on Mondays at 10:25 to 11:05, but thats not much to do anything, so Wed. and Fri. would be it.

Thanks for that info - if you are 8 hours behind GMT (which I think you are) - then that would mean you will be active during school time from 4pm till 5.25pm (ish) on Weds and Friday and 6.25pm to 7.05pm on Mondays.

To what extent will you be able (allowed by school/have access) outside school time?

It might be safe to assume that the only time we would get in world would be during class at the afore mentioned times. Most of us are way too busy to stay after school ( I know I am), and it would be near impossible to coordinate everyone to get online at home, even if everyone could get the program.

It's strange all the fairly new people welcoming even newer people. Can't help feeling a sense of superiority, like we've escaped the system lol

Who said anything about coordination - most of the folk working on the project are doing so outside school and from home - we have a couple of groups (and I think it will be more soon) who are working as part of an organised group but still mostly after school (though I think this will change too). So - as far as the project is concerned - there is nothing to stop someone from logging in from home whenever it suits them.

We add info about when events are planned to the Schome Park Events page in the wiki so folk can see when stuff is likely to be happening (though of course folk come in at other times too).

even if everyone could get the program.

Second Life is a free download from the Internet. It's not getting the software which tends to be the problem - it's having the hardware to run it. The specifications needed are listed here:

Hey PeterT, welcome to schome. Are you new to second life? Did you come as part of a group, or what interested you in schome?
Don't worry, I'm sure someone will be your buddy soon.

I have less than those requirements and it does work if your patient with it so its no worries if you don't have a comp that matches it, try getting it on then try it
