One place you can find lots of examples of this kind is by looking at two languages with a similar word in them - for example, the word 'profound' means something with a deep meaning, while in French the word 'profond' simply means something deep (whether it's a deep meaning, a deep lake or anything else like that). That, to me, is an example of that idea.

Serious Games?
Are the two of you on the Serious Games mailing list? A whole host of experts frequent that, those actively involved in building 'serious games', or educational games, whatever you want to refer to them as. I can see what I can dig out that might be useful.
Also the IGDA (International Game Developers Association) forums have a serious games thread and that might be worth a look, or indeed to enquire via if you have some specific questions on gaming and learning.
And by all means invite me for a coffee at work day, I might have some thoughts/ideas from my reading of said places.
As an aside I'm also currently designing a game for development in SL. Whether it would be useful to track it's development and how it's used and extended by the community I don't know. An idea. --Dan 17:12, 19 November 2007 (GMT)
