Welcome

Welcome to The Aspire Pilot website.

This site is part of WikiWorks, which is devoted to anything to do with schome (not school - not home - schome - the education system for the Information Age).

WikiWorks, as its name suggests, is a wiki. Wikis are different to standard websites in that anyone who registers can edit (almost) any page on the site. This is exciting as it provides a vehicle for us to collaborate via the web. However, it also means that sometimes the wiki does not look as clear as a standard website and may require you to navigate it differently.

Finding your way around

The key strategies for finding your way around inside the Aspire Pilot site (and WikiWorks more generally) are:

use the Main Page option in the navigation panel on the left of the window to get you back to the homepage (where you will find an index of key sections of WikiWorks) use the Recent changes option in the navigation panel on the left of the window to find out which pages have changed recently (if there are pages you are particularly interested in you can tell the system just to watch those pages) use the Search facility (on the left of the window) to locate information you are interested in - remember that the search is case sensitive

some pages have a 'breadcrum trail' along the top (and bottom) of the main panel that shows you where the page you are currently looking at is in relation to other pages within WikiWorks. Register for updates

If you are interested in continuing to receive (roughly) monthly email updates on The Aspire Pilot then please register for WikiWorks (using the Create an account or log in option to the top right of the WikiWorks window), making sure that you enter your email address and real name in the optional fields provided.
