How many of those languages did you recognise?
- Hmm, I don't know the Latin for this one; the closest I can think of is salvē, which means 'hello'... I'll be back soon and add it when I find out... --Decimus 21:51, 15 April 2007 (BST)
- Well, when I used my nice little online translator, it came up with Exspectata, which is up there, though I've no idea how accurate that is - Trixxiee Schomer 21:54, 15 April 2007 (BST)
- Apparently, salvē can be used for either 'hello' or 'welcome', so I've replaced it with that. And don't you know how unreliable translators are!? You could put (and this is a minor example) 'like' into it and it'd come out with 'amo' - I love... --Decimus 23:31, 15 April 2007 (BST)
- Yes, I do know how unreliable online translators can be - I learn languages for a reason. But I thought that something was better than nothing, and I already asked people to edit if they find they are wrong. How else are we going to learn? Anyway, I forgot all my Latin ;) - Trixxiee Schomer 10:15, 16 April 2007 (BST)

- Any idea how to add Chinese characters? - Marko Schomer 21:15, 18 April 2007 (BST)
- On a Windoze system, you can get the Character Map up and find the characters somewhere on it. On others, you'll probably have some other way, but it depends on what system... --Decimus 22:21, 18 April 2007 (BST)
- I know 'kiddha' is actually similar to hello, but it is the closest I know-Explo
- Bore da is Welsh for Good Morning and Prynhawn da [sp?] is Good Afternoon. I do not know what welcome is - KitKatKid 16:18, 04 December 2007 (GMT)
Welcome to the Languages Lab wiki page. There will soon be a languages lab set up in the library of Schome Park, where sessions will be held in various languages for conversation and writing, you will be able to learn new languages with the help of fellow SParkers, and learn a bit about the culture of various countries.
What languages do you speak? Click here to enter in which languages you can speak/are learning, and if you are willing to help out in any of these.
