What stuff should be included re England?

I'm trying to work out a kind of template for the sort of info we want re the education systems in each country.

Struggling a bit with what to include and how best to organise it - would appreciate your thoughts!

First thoughts: compulsory phase - has both private and state sectors. May not be broken down into same constituents eg. primary (infant & junior) and secondary. Ages 4-11 and 11 - 16 Plus post 16 - 19 also now includes FE colleges Do have national curriculum to 16

private schools are not structured in same way? do they have to follow national curriculum?

What happens pre- compulsory eg. nursery, mums and tots groups etc.

We could have a space dedicated to Stats too.

A section entitled Alternative Schools

A section entitled Learning outside of schools (Eg: Book clubs, Heritage sites, Mainstream media provision...) As we asre seeking to discsuss alternative and new approaches I'd be wary spedig too much time and space describing current mainstream structure and practices. Keep it brief.
