indeed, Kali, i'm quite happy to have a chat with some Krishna belives and accept their pamphlets and incense sticks for one pound and a good word, i'm happy to walk into a church and talk with the vicar about creationism, i'm quite happy to walk into a mosque (after taking my shoes off) and talking about extremeism in thier relgion. I dont question WHY they belive, I question HOW they believe.

I myself live by my own idealolgy, not by morals put on me by faith.

Even though i have my own beliefs, i like studying and looking at other religions to see what they believe and why they believe what they do

I don't see why people dislike people purely because of what they believe. ???

Because they strongly believe they are wrong and it's so obvious that they're wrong but they believe it anyway!

Okay.. thats not my opinion at all! just answering you're question!

No, i'm not phrasing myself right am i?

What i mean is, in this day and age, where lots of things are now acceptable that once weren't, you wuld think people would just accept the fact that everyone is free to believe what they want and there is nothing they can do to change it.

Yes. England, for the most part, is a very accepting country.

Very true. But then again, the world never (and I mean never!) makes any sense :P
One thing I don't like is people who think their religion is definitely true and that all others are wrong without question. And ones who don't apply any common sense (wait, that includes huge numbers of people :P) and therefore end up taking what their religion says as literally true...

In china they monitor each church ceremony and take out bits from the bible.
They have underground churches there, real churches.
If you're caught at one of these you'll probably be put behind bars.

People can believe that their religion is the one true faith if they want. That is the basis for quite a few religions. I have no problem with this, being one myself. But, people can believe whatever, so no one should try to convert people to their belief

Indeed. In fact, there are very few (I think only one of the six main world religions) that don't claim that they're right...

Indeed. Of course, they can still be encouraged to question their beliefs (that's my opinion, anyway), but not forced to convert or anything similar...
