I'd like to know what people think about me selling stuff - ahead of finishing stage three of mars - the retail outlet!
I think you shouldn't sell anything. Simple as.
And if you want reasons, we'll just end up asking for money from the staff and siphoning it off to you. Then we'll end up with a capitalistic system driving everyone apart...

It can't be that amazing that people have to go to the staff for money so they can buy it, surely? Besides, you can easily duplicate most things for no cost.
Reminds me of a quote I read:

Quote
Time ain't money when all you've got is time

Very true point, isn't it?

What should i do with the money i am given?
You shouldn't be given any money for simple things like that.

We do not want money in to spread its evil influence across the world! It is the root of all evil, which is precisely why I have decided to save your souls and liberate you of it. :D Seriously, it is far preferable to keep life free.

There's quite a few posts above, including some I've made stating my views. Basically, I would far prefer it if everything is kept freely distributable, certainly at the moment when Schome Park isn't open to the rest of the Teen Grid. Any charging basically costs the project money, which we really want to avoid. After the Park opens, reasons to charge do arise, but before then charging for products is definately[\i] a bad idea. Even after, a virtual system without money has many advantages over a system with.

You may have noticed i've (with the help of elsa, thanks for tht) built an extension to mars, which does 'hand out' things rather than having to pay for them. After reading through this i definitely agree with all your points - i just saw it as far easier to build things as for sale, rather than once the island is open, having to change everything then.

I have no intention of bringing capitalism to Schome, its a horrible and decrepted system, but AFTER we open, it'd be nice to gget things, however people will want money.....also, I dsont see the harm in selling our cdreations to others, keep it free to the Schomers, though...ultimate staff discount....

Is there a way then of giving things to schomers for free, but others have to pay?

??? Maybe we should be setting a trend on the Teen Grid - spread the open source approach so to speak ...

At what stage does 'a visitor' become one of us?

A 'Visitor' becomes a 'Schomer' when we bring them into the group, I suppose...............
