Well, since the Schome techies and such seem to insist on saving me and getting me onto the project, I might as well introduce myself.

I'm still getting the 'unable to connect to simulator' message though

...it's either that or 'unable to connect to Second Life'...I've tried twenty times now! $:-\$

Which is it - cos unable to connect to Second Life is probably a firewall problem.
Unable to connect to simulator is more difficult ...

Well, with the closing of the NAGTY forums and the rather-disappointingness of the Yoghurty replacement, I suppose I have to go somewhere, and for some reason my username still exists. So, arriving on your doorstep in a wicker basket and a note saying 'Please take loving care of' is . . .

Hmm, have you considered exploring the forums, joining in some of the debates and maybe editing wiki pages?
Although it is a big blow that you can't use second life, there are still plenty of non-secondlifey things here if you dive deep enough.

Peter: Probably because my computer seems like it was revived from DNA found in a fossil. Until I get a new computer (school life is quite full right now, and it'd be uncomfortable being the only one in the school to be involved, before you ask

) I won't be able to run it. Nevertheless, I will hopefully make some quality posts (because I've made so few posts, all my posts must be of amazing quality, right?

) and interesting contributions.

No problem if you are OK with not being able to get in - just wanted to check it wasn't a problem we could help with in some way - and it isn't (before anyone asks me if we can provide them with a bright sparkling new computer).
