I don't see why anyone should need to be awarded points for using the websites and island acceptably?  ???
Surely it's taken for granted that you should be abiding the AUP, it comes with the job right?

Noo, 'tis the other way around - you get 'points' for breaking the AUP, and there're punishments for getting certain numbers of points.

for an example see drivers license

when you speed or go over red lights then you get fined and points on your licence

if you clock up 12 within 3 years then you lose your licenese for 6 months
though it runns on the a system so that points for one offense stay on for 3 years not all the points go at once

so for example
if you clock up 3 points for speeding then another 3 for speeding, then you have 6, 3 years after the first offense the 3 go off taking you back to 3 and three months later the other 3 goes (so points go 3 years after that individual punishment)

we could have the schome system to work as a ban determinant
the ban would last as neccesary (like now) but points are put against you as well
when certain amounts are clocked up then a minimum ban is put into place (so say 6, and you have to be banned for at least 3 days)

i second Vibia.

its all well and good asking should we trial it, but technically we don't actually have anything is set in stone to trial.

so rules to the point system - discuss...

yes but the title of this topic suggests that the actual points system has already been worked out and is ready to trial.
