I am annoyed that people are saying we have too much control - we hardely do anything in world, it is all over the forum...

You could argue that almost nothing can be done without B+PP's blessing. So you do have a lot of control....

Disclimer: this may not reflect the views of me or the general affairs deptment.

Yes, well. The things that happened last week suggest people think we have far too much control. But as I said before, the only work we do is on the forum, and all we do in world is looking round for builds and doing prim counts.

B&PP's power really only applies to builds. Most of what goes on in Second Life, and in the wiki and in the Forum and in the Slog is not covered.

Also, although B&PP manage the polls, it's not up to them what gets accepted because the whole community has a voice, and a vote. The DOs can't force anything through if other people don't agree with it.

My understanding is that the only way of being fast tracked is to put up something that everyone likes, so the vote goes through quickly and smoothly.

The rules seem to be a little different for strands, which is why Hadrian's Wall could reappear.

If you think the rules are being broken or bent, Topper, I think you need to go into more detail so that people can take action, if necessary.

well some builds I could mention have been built before any permission has been agreed outside the sandbox, also I feel that it was unfair that people have gone against PP rules by going against the word of the voting community.

I'm sure that some names spring to mind from that but in case I have got it wrong do not make any assumptions.

Though I think it would be benifisial to have a 'trust' that makes sure that every thing is running smoothly. The rule being that any serving DO can not stand for election to the trust and there must be at least 1/2 members of staff must be on the trust.
