Hi from Dianeschome
« on: September 15, 2006, 09:27:38 AM »
Hi
My name is Diane and I am a research fellow with the Open University in the computing faculty currently working on a European project LT4eL.
I was a primary school teacher for 17 years and have been listening to the recent government plans for education with incresing concerns. There has to be a better way of providing the education our children need - this is why I am interested in the work of the schome project and community.

I am trying to avoid eating too many biscuits although it is not always possible!!  My last project meeting in Bulgaria provided us with very rich biscuits with our coffee breaks ;-(

Hi Michael  :)
Good to hear from you.
I've just read some of your posts.
I see that you are home educated.
Are you happy to tell us something about your experience please.
I've not had the chance to talk with anyone in your position before and I'm really interested.
Look forward to hearing more.

Diane

Hi Diane,
Nice to meet you and I fully understand your concern about biscuits. They just destroy your waistline, especially if you eat one after the other while sitting at the computer. The keyboard gets full of crumbs as well and it is difficult to clean...lol
What kind of work have you been developing and what interests you most?
