That's ok Marko, impractical projects are our specialty! :) lol

Thanks fox.
Where do I find out the individuall plots? Do i have to go inworld?
[/quote]

Yes. I've found that turning View | Property Lines helps identify the plots nicely. You then right-click and choose About Land and if it says Plot ## something it is available for redistribution by Peter!

just a thought, if every plot had an underground feature or cavern then we could have caves joining them up and when we have to go through water put a glass tunnel joining them

OMG that would be AWESOME

Understood. Our goal is not to sail out, but to build underwater/above water caverns to explore.

How the heck are we gonna do this?

lol

Thanks Topper. I'm such a n00b sometimes, especially when it comes to the wiki!

No apology needed Fox! :-) We're all in this together!

Thanks Topper! Looking forward to learning from you! Seems we'll need some time in the sandbox next week. I'll add that to our agenda!

Ok so it looks like we're going to need help with:

- Terraforming (Topper says it's easy)
- Sculpties (I'm betting these are hard to do well)
- Overall design (this is really going to be tough)

Thoughts?

We are so DEFINITELY going to need help terraforming ... in our new plot!

Great ideas and input everyone! Keep them coming!

Question: we really wanted UNDERWATER caverns, if we terraform below "sea level," will they be underwater automatically?

I'm thinking we need first to keep brainstorming ideas and then come up with a plan before anything changes.

I think we can leave Scholympia alone for now, but would like to have something new over top of it. I'm sure the group will come up with some ideas.

Thanks!

p.s. I've set up a thread for these discussions, can we move the chat to: http://schome.open.ac.uk/forum/index.php?topic=2307.0 - thanks!

Hi everyone,

Peter has given us Plot 2, the location of the current Scholympia, for our project.

We're just getting organized. Feel free to join the group, the Terraformers.

I'll have our entry about our upcoming meeting in the events page soon.

We also need a 'closing ceremony' for Scholympia. Working on that too.

Hi Kathy!

Well thanks! We're learning our first lesson. :) I hadn't seen your other post.

So here's the question: can we put a massive hole on our plot? How? We'll finesse the covering later...lol

Thanks Peter! This is very exciting!

Several of the Team NCS Schomers, when asked about something they'd like to create, responded that they'd love to terraform a hideout / catacombs / cavern of doom, inspired by the amazing caves over on Beta. The skate park was too difficult, and the clubhouse idea never really took off. :/

The name of our group is Terraformers: Students in Disguise. (It's a play on a tagline you all might not recognize elsewhere in the world, having to do with the toys called Transformers. See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transformers_%28toy_line%29).

Our group is open for all to join, but we're just coming together, and we're not sure how it's going to work yet, but ... if you're interested, please feel free to sign up! Members so far include JPSkater777, Jokester, Waffleking22, and Chippersmass.

Our first task will be to clear the land (remove the Scholympia). I will post another thread about this. I imagine that this build might have some significance to all of you so I don't want to just delete it without giving everyone a chance to take some snapshots. It definitely needs to go, we'll need every virtual inch of the available plot. I'll post about this shortly.

I'll also get something listed on the events page so we can kick this process off!

Thanks again!

Brilliant, thanks, I've just PM'd her. :-)

Thanks Mars. How was the data collected previously? Are you okay with us using Google Docs to do it? It will take some effort to create, which I'll handle.

Peter and I had the idea for a staff survey a while back. This is different, but could be expanded to include staff - what do you think? Do we need a separate survey?
