And Wintermute - being Wintermute - what more need I say?!
Wonder what he is calling himself these days ...  ;)

PeterT
EbonyWintermute aparently lol

Talking of Wintermute/Hapno/Doctor - has anyone heard from him since he moved onto doing Cognitex Labs? A quick google search for Cognitex Labs only turned up mentions of it in the forum...

Some of the arguments we had over buildings... <shakes head> :P
Like Baso said, looking back on them it all seems so stupid - but back then it seemed very serious

- lines of text that I expected to be separate have appeared on a single line.

Hi there, it's been a long time since I've used the wiki, but if I remember correctly it was
Code: [Select]
<br> to break the text to the next line. Hope this helps :)

Helloooo.... first post in AGES!!!

I found help in the very first few weeks from the staff, like Mark, Fox, Siobhan and Peter (to name just a few). I was completely new to the environment and didn't have a clue what I was doing.
I also remember that in the first few weeks, when Baso set up the very first SkyBase, he took me to some orange and purple squared building up at 5000m or so and we chatted for a while getting to know each other. I then went for tea or something and came back to find Baso wasn't there. Being completely new I was scared to leave the building because 1) I didn't have a clue where I was and 2) I was scared that if I feel into the greyness that was the sky then I'd lose my avatar :P

You'd think scientists and the like would have better things to spend their time on. I personally am only on Bebo for 5 or 10 minutes a day, just to see what other people have been up to. If I'm on for any longer than that then it's normally 'cos it's running in the background when I'm doing other things.

That's really interesting cos you don't think about most of those things - they come automatically lol

Thanks :)

There was an invitation for SchomeBase to get involved, but nothing was written - which is a shame, because like Kit, I'm interested in what's going on.

Just to say thanks to everyone who helped in making either edition of MySchome - the second edition is now out and can be found here.

I think I've found the problem - GIMP doesn't let you change the colour of individual letters, so I had to type schome in purple and then fill the h with orange, resulting in the fuzzy look. But I've found a way to overcome this, so it's alright now :)

On the big logo, if you view it on the wiki, it looks really fuzzy and distorted. You can't really see it very well on the forum though.

Ok - I've played about, still have to sort the h out on the bigger logo, but I've aligned the tagline left:

I'll have a play around later - and also try to sort the H out.

That's a good idea about overwriting the current logo Amba - I hadn't thought of that. I thought we'd be finding pages with the old logo on for months to come :)

I wasn't sure whether or not to post this - but I've spoken to Peter and the images have been on the wiki for a few days now.

The Schome tagline  -  "not school, not home, Schome, the education system for the information age" has been changed to "schome - the education system for the learning age." Therefore, there are new logos to be used, that are the same size as the old ones. They can be found on the wiki and below. We should probably be updating any wiki pages with the old logos.

I know that the "h" looks distorted, I'll have to have another look at it and see why that happened. As a reminder, I've also posted the colours used in the logo below:

'OU Violet': RGB 133,111,179 Hex #856FB3
'OU Orange': RGB 239,104,32 Hex #EF6820

Help with website / Re: Problems with the website

It took me ages to access all three yesterday - and I was redirected to a page with a baby on. It's not the first time it's happened though.

Strange thing is, if I googled Schome, I was able to access certain pages within the wiki, but if you clicked links in the page it said page not found.

Media (making) / Re: First Annual Silent Film Contest

As I wasn't involved in the actual making of the film, as I couldn't make it in world, I don't think it's right that I fill in the forms. It should be someone who was actively involved so they get the money. Sorry Pigment  :-\
