Tis ludicrus...
But this is the kind of sacrifice one must make to live in a lovely (collection of) island(s) like here, even if when I go back the the UK there will be the same number of people in my school as entire population of Stanley (The Big City + the only city)
That is why I do most of my forum such-and-such at school on a wednesday afternoon, when I can go...
The just released a new package due to the fact that everyone in the islands is not v. happy, so I have a little more download limit now (Either 500mb or 1kb, can't remember which, fairly sure it is 1kb).

But I think I am in the same timezone as eastern US during our winter/you'r summer. :P What time does it say I posted this message in the US, if it says 16:06 or thereabouts, it is the same time zone...

My not-very-broad band is taking ages to download something or other to get onto the island... It is only slightly faster than dial-up...

Be on as soon as possible...

Hi...
Just changing the subject for a min back to the original subject...

Since I am living in the Falkland Islands, I am in the same time zone as the Eastern parts of the US, although I am not sure about time because of clocks changing and my being in the southern hemisphere...

To work out any time differences that may occour, what time in the US does it say I posted this, as here it is 4:28...
Look forwards to seeing people in world, although due to acess and the broadband company being a monopoly and charging outragous prices, I cannot be in-world all of the time (gotta save my time before I go over my outragously small limit of downloads/uploads per month of 250mb)...

P.S. I am half american (dad's side of the family) 8)
P.P.S. Saying my nationality is not agains the OAP, it is very vague, but in a community like mine of 3,000 odd people it is easy to find the half-ammericans :-\

Why not make cloths that make people very large, simulating sumo wrestlers...
7  Schome Park Programme / Ethics & Philosophy / Re: Expermiment; prototype country... on: September 02, 2007, 03:21:35 PM
As was said, to devide the world in terms of acess to a PC is difficult, as a country's goverment can decide how to spend the wealth- They could spend it on 'internet acess for the general population', or the same amount of money on better schools, or a healthcare system, or cheaper food, or better ammenities, or benifits for the poor, ect ect... Just because it doesn't spend the money on giving the general public internet acess, and instead giving them a healthcare system, or schools, or anything else, doesn't mean it is less developed that another country that chose to spend the money on internet acess. You must consider many things before deviding the world into richer and poorer countries, or MEDC and LEDC countries, not just internec/computer acess...

Nooooo!

I missed it *sniffs* :'(
Oh well... :-\
I wonder if the series of events conspiring to stop us was because there was no free will, and that fate had decided that we shouldn't dicuss this topic after all...

Or maby it was a coincidence...
If you believe in coincedences... ;)

We could do the arena in the same way as the catacombs- into a door somewhere, and the actual arena is 300m up into the sky (or wherever, somwhere high up).

P.S, could someone teach me some scriptiong, I don't have a clue( :-[). Or is there a 'How to do scripting' page on the wiki?
P.P.S, why do you want a space lift anyway, most things are on the ground, and you can fly to the rest, or get a teleport...

I'm into ethics and philosophy, I'll try to get online then (That should be 2-3pm for me down here in the Falklands, so I should be fine getting online)

The Bots sound good-
 :)

You could have scheduled games (at the weekend), and the rest of the time you could have the lazerforce arena open for anyone to come in, borrow a gun or paintballgun or whatever, and zap some bots or each other. The bots would have to be regenerating, so you didn't zap them all and then no-one elso can come along and play

Hey Kali- I sent you a message. When can you come on tomorrow, because I have school, and so do not have a chance to come on until 9:30 UK time ( I may be able to come on for 30 min at around 5:30 UK time, at lunch)
